Luxe continues to impress us. This latest electric bidet comes with all the essential features. Luxuries and comforts that one may desire or expect from a top of the line bidet is all included. Seat temperature, and water temperature can be adjusted with up to 4 settings. This bidet includes the feature to deodorize and disinfect itself and its surrounding area. It also includes the massage feature which is an alternation of strong and weak water sprays. As you would expect from a high end model, it comes with both rear and feminine wash, and also includes an air dryer with adjustable temperature settings. Overall, the Luxe EB800 is an excellent value.

The word bidet is derived from the French language which originally meant, "a small horse, or a pony" and dates back to 1630. It is believed that the word was originally used by the French royalty to refer to their pet ponies. This odd etymology exists because early bidets were on a stand which the user would straddle as though if they were mounting a horse.

The practice of washing with water after urination and defecation was prevalent in Islamic cultures for centuries. The history of the actual bathing bidet device may have began from the invention of French furniture makers in the late 17th or early 18th century. The exact date of the invention and the inventor is unknown. Some experts suggest that it was Christophe Des Rosiers, a furniture maker of the French Royal Family. The earliest written reference to the bathing bidet is in 1710.

During the 19th century, the Europeans developed a porcelain cleaning device for contraceptive and purgative uses. Thanks to the plumbing improvements of the Victorian era, the bidet moved from the bedroom to the bathroom.

In the 1960s the electronic bidet was introduced as an attachment that connected on to existing toilet arrangements. This was ideal for bathrooms lacking the space for both a separate bidet and toilet. Its use has evolved more into a personal cleaning device, and can be commonly found in Asian and European bathrooms.

The Luxe MB320 is overall one of our favorite bidets. It offers all the essential features at a tremendous value. It's easy to install, offers both hot and cold water, and is equipped two nozzles. You don't have to replace your toilet as it integrates right into it. If you're not looking for anything superfluously fancy, we highly recommend the Luxe MB320.

The Luxe MB210 is a great value for the money. Unlike the MB320, it only has 1 nozzle. The MB210 still comes with both warm and cold water connections. This is a premium quality bidet that we highly recommend.

A simple, easy to install bidet with just the basics. It has a single fresh water connection. It's definitely not the best there is, but for the price, it's an exceptional value.

1. It's way more hygienic. The thought of using abrasive dry toilet paper again after having used a bidet for years now is unnerving. It baffles me that many Americans still don't know what a bidet is. While supposedly representing one of the most modernized societies in the world, we still opt to smear our posteriors with paper instead of cleaning it up with water. The negative consequences of using paper to clean up after ourselves are numerous:

• You will never get rid of the fecal matter completely until after you shower or bathe.
• The hand that serves the duty will get contaminated even if you can't see it.
• Even after washing your hands with soap and water, guess what? Fecal matter will get on your underwear. If the color of your underwear is white, you want to keep it that way.

2. If you're a menstruating female, you know how bad it gets when it's that time of the month. Sometimes a warm soothing jet of water feels much better than wiping and replacing your tampons. Need I go into more details? I think not.

3. Sexually active people can greatly benefit from a bidet. While it's fun, and pleasurable to make wild and crazy love, you need to clean up after your 5 minutes of glory. Don't just roll around in bed drenched in sweat and other bodily fluids, and clean up a bit! What you really need is a shower, but a bidet is an excellent alternative that allows an easy way to quickly clean yourself up with water.

4. Hemorrhoids is more common than you think. Whether you admit it or not, you still have to buy Preparation H at the drugstore next week. Let the bidet do its magic and relieve your discomfort, and pain. A warm water bidet is highly recommended for people with hemorrhoids.

5. Maybe you're disabled and don't like getting help from attendants all the time just to clean up after yourself. The use of a bidet allows you to maintain good personal hygiene with minimal assistance, and reduces unnecessary embarrassment.
